Steve started the design process for the Goodson Model alto and tenor saxophones by asking a simple question: “What can we do to make saxophones easier to play?”
After making a list of problem areas, we built features to resolve each in turn. The result is an instrument with features found on no other saxophone ever produced. Professional players and advancing students alike will appreciate the Steve Goodson Model’s ease of playing. This instrument quite simply does more and does it easier than any saxophone ever made! A quick play test is all you’ll need to see that this is no ordinary saxophone! After over four years spent on its development, we’re proud of the results.
